工商時報が、台湾Chipbondは、iPhone 5Sから初採用される、タッチICコアを内蔵したタッチディスプレイドライバIC「TDDI」に加え、近距離無線通信「NFC」や、指紋認証センサーが搭載されるが、これらの封止・測定及び金バンプ加工、指紋認証センサICの金バンプ加工を独占受注したようだと伝えています。

Chipbond社設計によるチップは、Renesas ElectronicsやTSMCの80nmプロセス生産によって製造され、RetinaディスプレイLCDドライバICと比べて、TDDIチップのテスト試験時間は長く必要とされ、Chipbond社の今年の売上の約４０％になると予想されるそうです。

NFCセンサーや指紋認証センサーはTSMCが製造を担当し、iPhone 5Sに搭載されていると予想されるそうです。
